We sell our Smiling Bovine beef directly to consumers. We do not operate a storefront (yet!), and use local packers, so this is how it works:
You decide how much beef you’re looking to purchase — our custom packers do 1/4, 1/2, or a whole. For more information on exactly how much beef that is, click here.
You decide which local packing plant you would like to use. We’ve listed out a few of their addresses, rates, and contact information on this page.
You decide when you’d like to pick up your beef. Make sure you have freezer space available!
You send us a deposit for $1000/whole beef (approximately half the cost of the animal), along with all your choices above. The other half is due the day we drop the animal off at the packing plant and we know exactly what the live weight was.
Once the animal is at the packing plant, you can call and let them know which cuts you’d like to receive and in what quantities! If you’d like some advice, the processing plants are always helpful, or you can check out our recommendations.
Approximately two weeks after your animal was dropped off at the packing plant, you can pick up your beef. You will pay the packing plant directly for the processing fees.
